    snow!
I haven't been online too much lately.  Video editing has been keeping me busy, as with trying to find the right audio cable to transferring 16mm film to miniDV.  Tomorrow I'll be buying another cable as the one I bought earlier doesn't work.

Also, I'm not sure if I mentioned this, but we've been moving into a house.  Yep, leaving the apartment for good.  :)  Today it has been snowing like crazy; we're supposed to get around a foot or so by tomorrow morning.  So we've been shoveling...a lot.  We went to buy a snowblower, but they are all sold out.  We were told to try back next week.

My hair is fading back to blonde again, good bye pink.

Now that my husband is back from a 3-week long business trip, I'll have my laptop again.  :)  This way I'll have time to check email during the day.  And with someone to watch my kid, I'll be able to get more work done once again.

Currently I'm working on getting photos ready for Anneli's afro perm video.  I still need to work on the teaser and webpages.

We still need to decorate the tree too.

I'm not sure how much longer I'll be active in this blog.  I may just continue to write at haircuttingfun.livejournal.com

    Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.  And for those who go to the Black Friday sales, good luck to you!

I'll probably be away from my computer most of Thanksgiving and this weekend to spend time with family.  (I will hop on every now and then because I'm just that addicted to the internet).

Btw, I found a pair of black open-toed high heel shoes today.  I found a shop in Mapleton (sp?) here in Minnesota, the Villager, that has TONS of vintage 1940's dresses, hats, purses, gloves, jewelry, and shoes.  Unfortunately, all the cute shoes were too small for my feet.  Women's feet and clothing sizes were a lot smaller then than they are today.  Example, a size 10 from back then would fit me, a size 2/3 today.  ;)

    less time
It's time to earn my keep around here so I did some painting today and will finish tomorrow.  I promised a neighbor to transfer all her 16 mm film to DVD, so I'll be learning how to do that and start on that hopefully soon.  Since I told her it is a freebie, she's not worried about it be done soon.  :)

I have just started bringing a little boy to school everyday since his parents no longer have a car.

I think I might have mentioned this before, but if not, I won't have my laptop for the next couple of weeks so my three hours doing online work while my son was at school is now moved to the slot for doing video editing.  Sorry!

Oh, and I'm nearly done with my Christmas shopping.  Then all I'll have left to do is the Christmas cards.

Well, gotta run!  I'm going to start getting my camera gear packed up for Saturday's video shoot.

free Beer drinking event in major cities
Since it's weird that none of my friends drink beer, I won't be attending this event, but it sounds like fun.  Visit www.guinness.com and look for a beer tasting/drinking event in your area.  To RSVP, use the password GLASS.  They seem to be having lots of events lately so there should be one coming up that will fit your schedule.

It's been snowing here for a bit -- actually covering the ground, but now the snow has stopped and it has all melted away.  I sure this will change by the end of the month.

My bright pink hair has begun to fade.  It still looks cute.  It might be fun to dye it green and the tips red for Christmas/Yule.  :)

Now I'm off to answer more emails.  I did stop at an antique store yesterday and picked up a Playtex Haircutting Comb.  It came with a box of blades to use with it as well.  Also I found a box, probably from the 1950s, that contained a dropper and a bottle of nail solution.  I haven't had too much time to check it out fully, but it will make a nice prop in the salon setting that I have.  Maybe during a perm, if I can find some vintage nail polish, we can have the model's nails done too.

    Oooh, it's snowing again!

    pink hair
A plastic cap is covering my head and I have 10 minutes left before I can shampoo my hair.  I'm re-dying my hair pink for today's family portrait.  We get our family portrait done every year.  This will be a nice change from the blonde and brunette hair colors that I've worn in the past.  One year I wore a wig, which I now regret, because we thought that my bald head might freak out some relatives.  They now know that I sometimes shave my head smooth, so it's not a problem.  *smile*.

I hope to wrap my son's Christmas presents today.

On my other computer, footage of me with my head down and the stylist cutting my hair short in back is being played as it is being transferred to the hard drive.

    Happy Halloween/Samhain!
Happy Halloween and Samhain to those who celebrate either or holiday.  :)

So what have I been up to lately?  I bought the Spiderman 3 DVD today and am waiting to buy all three of the Pirates of the Caribbean DVDs when that DVD set is available in November.  I've been starting to do my Christmas present shopping already as I've been finding some good deals on stuff.  Then tonight ,I just finished making a sex tape -- sorry, this video will NOT be for sale, and it will NOT end up like Paris Hilton's video.  I never thought I'd make one of these tapes, but I finally agreed to it (with my hubby and only with him) and it was actually quite fun.  I don't think I'll do another one though, just to be on the safe side.

My hair color is starting to lighten up, so I'll have to retouch it up in a couple weeks or so.

Argentina has their first woman president.  :)  How many women presidents do we have now?  Chile, South Africa (I believe), Germany (chancellor).  So four.  Or is it five?  I think I *may* have missed a country, but I don't remember at the moment.  I will be voting for Hilary Clinton in 2008.  I think it's about time that we had a woman president.  :D

I'm hoping to get into bed early tonight, so good night!

    looking into the future
Bowling centers have changed so much from when I was a kid.  Over the weekend, we went bowling.  Blacklight was the main light, with flashes of color from a few strobes provided an eery dancing glow to the fog that drifted down from the fog machine.  Computers tallied the scores so pencils and paper were not needed.  It was a lot of fun.

I told my husband today that next year I need to find a real job.  Yep, it's about time that I enter the workforce.  That's a bit of a scary thought -- resume writing and going to interviews.  I'll see what there is available next year.

Halloween is coming soon!  I'm very excited about that, even though I'll just be staying home, handing out goodies.  I don't hand out candy as kids get enough of that stuff, but fun little toys such as mini Simpson bobble-heads.  :)

    Saturday
    Me as of today:

I did a little shopping today and bought a pair of black boots that button up.  They remind me of the shoes worn back in the 1900s.  I love that style.

I also found a couple more buttoned up blouses and a vintage housewife's dress.

Last night I saw the movie, Elizabeth: The Golden Age.  The movie was okay.  Queen Elizabeth wears in her in a short pixie, which is mostly covered by a variety of beautifully styled wigs.  I would love to find a stylist or hair dresser who could style my hair like that.

Coming up this week, I will be having my hair re-dyed solid pink and have it re-cut into a shorter bob.  I'm excited about that.  This current color is fine, and I've  already turned some heads (one guy paid too much attention to me instead of his job and somehow managed to spill three boxes of breakables onto the concert floor.  From the way that stuff hit and scattered, his paycheck is going to be a bit smaller this week!).

Well, tons of stuff to do and I better get to it!

i do believe in spooks, i do believe in spooks, i do, i do, i do!
Something odd happened when I came home and checked my computer.  Before I left this morning, I was having my computer render and burn a DVD of Flatland's Hair Design.  My computer seemed fine.  The DVD was popped out, indicating that the DVD burned fine.  But when I tested the DVD, the screen showed Alucard and me.  I checked my computer and Flatland was still showing.  There is no way that I grabbed the wrong disc because this was the only one out.   There must be a ghost in this place.

Anyway, my hair feels dry so I'm planning on doing a hot oil treatment soon.

    decorations
Yesterday I started to hang Halloween decorations around the place.  I'm going to check the garage tomorrow for more.  I have 5-6 crates full of Halloween decorations and other fun Halloween stuff.  Later today before I go out with Trish, I hope to make a batch of Halloween cookies with bat and pumpkin sprinkles.  :D

Before going out tonight, I'm hoping that I have enough time to dye my hair neon pink.  I'll bring my camera with tonight and have Trish snap a picture or two.

Just thinking about dying my hair makes me want to go clothes shopping.  :D

    last night's radio show
was awesome!  We took photos during the show too.  I was dressed as a cheerleader for KJ Dekker's haircut and face shaving.

The mp3 of the show is now available on Sunday Bloody Sunday's page.  You'll find the link to the site at www.rangerplex.com

The photos will be in one of their galleries soon.  :)
